Student Organizations
Texas A&M is home to more than 1,300 student organizations, meaning there are more than 1300 opportunities for you to find other Aggies who share your interests and passions, whether they be in fraternity and sorority life, student government or community service. If 1,300+ organizations sound overwhelming, get started with our Get Involved tools such as OrgSearch and OrgMatch. And while you’re here, be a part of the traditions and campus-wide events that make Texas A&M what it is: the best university in the world.
Fraternity & Sorority Life
#AggieGreek is a fundamental part of Texas A&M. We are home to 58 inter/nationally affiliated or local Greek-letter organizations, which collectively constitute the largest membership-based and multi-faceted community on campus.
Representing 10% of the undergraduate student population, fraternity and sorority members are committed to their academics, developing and strengthening their leadership skills, volunteering time in the community and continually forming a campus and cultural support network for current and incoming Aggies.
Aggie Parent & Family Ambassadors
Aggie Parent & Family Ambassadors (APFA) are a cohort of student leaders dedicated to selflessly serving the Aggie Family through fellowship and networking with fellow student leaders, as well as building, perpetuating and sharing what makes the Aggie Family so special. Aggie Parent & Family Ambassadors are representatives of New Student & Family Programs who seek to provide exceptional Aggie Family experiences.
The Aggie Parent & Family Ambassadors work directly with Family Weekend, the Aggie Parent & Family Connection, Parents of the Year, as well as communication and outreach for all Aggie Families.
Orientation Leaders
Orientation Leaders (OLs) are a team of dedicated & diverse undergraduate students whose primary responsibility is to assist new students and their families with their transition into the Texas A&M University community and Aggie Family. They serve as resources, facilitators, and official representatives of the University during New Student Conference (NSC) programs. Becoming an Orientation Leader is a unique honor and a rewarding opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Extended Orientation
Extended Orientation programs like Fish Camp, T-Camp, Howdy Camp and Venture Camp give incoming students the opportunity to experience the Aggie Spirit on a deeper level.
MSC Programs
The Memorial Student Center promotes leadership development and experiential learning opportunities through academic, entertainment, social, arts, political and cultural awareness campus programs and service opportunities while preparing students to engage in a global society.
Sport Clubs
The Texas A&M Sport Clubs Association presents a unique opportunity for students to develop both athletic and leadership abilities. It affords the opportunity to be competitive against clubs from other collegiate institutions at the state, regional or national level in 37 sport clubs. Each club has memberships in conferences and/or a national governing body lending the participants the prospect to excel to the highest form of competition available at the collegiate club level. Since 1974 the Sport Clubs program has captured over 300 overall team and single-event national championships and hundreds of conference championships.
Intramural Sports
Each year, more than 13,000 students participate in the intramural program at Texas A&M. Rec Sports offers dozens of intramural activities each semester, and in a wide range of skill levels. Maybe you’re a star athlete looking to relive the glory days. Possibly you’re looking to meet new people and make some friends. It could simply be you’re looking for a quick one-hour study break to relieve stress each week. Whatever your reason might be, Intramural Sports has something for you!
Resident Advisors
Resident Advisors are essential to the on-campus experience and our Residence Life team. As an RA, you will have the opportunity to build leadership skills, nurture a community of Aggies, and develop skills that will be transferable long beyond your years in Aggieland. We are looking for individuals committed to building community, developing respectful environments, and serving as a resource for their fellow Aggies.
Living Learning Communities
Living Learning Communities (LLCs) are residential clusters of students living in specific halls, who share academic or common interests. Residents benefit from additional resources, support, and enhanced activities centered around a specific focus to elevate their Aggie experience. Joining an LLC is the easiest way to make friends, find community, and maximize your academic success!
Student Government
The student voice is a strong one, especially at Texas A&M, with over 60,000 students. The best way to make sure that voice is heard loud and clear is to serve as a student representative. Whether it is representing the entire student body through Student Government, representing your class through Class Councils, representing the on-campus population through the Residential Housing Association, or representing the graduate population through Graduate and Professional Student Government, there are opportunities for the passionate, the political, and the service-minded.
Musical Groups
Music Activities serves over 1,300 students each year and offers them opportunities to participate in a wide variety of musical activities while allowing members time for their studies and other interests. Within the department you will find opportunities to perform outstanding music on formal concerts, travel overseas and march intricate drill for 105,000 fans. If you are a musician at Texas A&M University, we have a place for you.
Spectrum in Aggieland
The Spectrum in Aggieland initiative provides a safe space for students on the autism spectrum and helps to build social and community relationships. Participation in Spectrum in Aggieland is free of charge and all students with autism are welcome to participate.
Student Veterans of America
The Student Veterans of America at Texas A&M chapter is an officially recognized chapter of Student Veterans of America. Our extremely active SVA hosts events throughout each semester devoted to enhancing the student veteran experience by focusing on their social, mental, and physical well-being, career readiness skills, and sense of community. The mission of the Student Veterans of America at Texas A&M University is to provide our veterans and military-affiliated students support, networking assistance, and advocacy throughout higher education for a successful transition and experience.
