Quiz: Find Your Student Org Fit at Texas A&M

With more than 1,300 student organizations and clubs at Texas A&M University, there's a place for everyone, but don’t let the overwhelm of options stop you from exploring your passions and interests. The Division of Student Affairs is here to support you as you create your own unique Aggie experience, explore all that Texas A&M has to offer and make incredible memories through getting involved. 

Take our quiz to help align your interests with student org types that you can use to explore at Club Crawl - The Official Involvement Festival at Texas A&M – and beyond! 

Question 1: What motivates you?

  1. Being able to express myself through art, music or performance (Arts/Entertainment)
  2. Doing well in class (Academic)
  3. Giving back to family, friends, my community (Service/Leadership)
  4. Strong relationships (Social)
  5. Getting to play my favorite sport or joining a team (Recreation/Sports)
  6. Making plans for my future (Professional/Career)

Question 2: How do you like to spend your downtime?

  1. With friends, all the time, all weekend long (Social)

Scoring Your Results

How to Score: Count how many times you selected each category across all six questions. Use your highest scores to rank your top student org categories.

What if you have a tie? That's great! It means you have diverse interests. Look for organizations that combine multiple categories, or consider joining more than one type of student org.

Our pro-tip? Remember that you can always try multiple organizations to find your perfect fit! There are many different categories and types of orgs/clubs, and there is truly something for everybody at Texas A&M. It’s also possible you will have multiple interests that intersect, and that’s okay, too. Now is the time to explore!

Your Student Org Type Match:

Academic Organizations - Focus on scholarly pursuits, research, and academic excellence. Perfect if you selected mostly Academic answers.
Examples: Honor societies, research clubs, study groups, academic competitions

Arts/Entertainment Organizations - Celebrate creativity and artistic expression. Perfect if you selected mostly Arts/Entertainment answers
Examples: Theater groups, music ensembles, art clubs, dance teams, creative writing societies

Professional/Career Organizations - Build skills and networks for future careers. Perfect if you selected mostly Professional/Career answers
Examples: Business clubs, pre-professional societies, industry associations, career-focused groups

Service/Leadership Organizations - Make a difference while developing leadership skills. Perfect if you selected mostly Service/Leadership answers
Examples: Community service clubs, student government, volunteer organizations, leadership programs

Social Organizations - Build lasting friendships and create memorable experiences. Perfect if you selected mostly Social answers
Examples: Greek life, cultural organizations, social clubs, interest-based social groups

Recreation/Sports Organizations - Stay active and compete in athletic activities. Perfect if you selected mostly Recreation/Sports answers
Examples: Intramural teams, club sports, outdoor recreation clubs, fitness groups

Visit getinvolved.tamu.edu to find your student organization matches IRL. Click “organization search” and use the filters to narrow down the categories you’re interested in.

💡 Did you know that you can use Get Involved to also plan out your time if you plan to attend Club Crawl? Build an itinerary of student organizations that match your interests and map out their table locations to plan your time at the event. 

Here’s how to use it:

If starting from the Club Crawl website, follow the five steps below:

  1. Visit clubcrawl.tamu.edu
  2. Click the “Approved Orgs” tab at the top of the website. 
  3. Click “Create a personal itinerary” found at the top of the list of approved organizations. 
  4. If needed, login to “Get Involved” with your NetID and password.  Once logged in, select the star next to the organizations that you are interested in visiting. 
  5. Click “View My Interests” to see your list of organizations arranged by table number. 

 

If starting from the Get Involved website, follow the five steps below:

  1. Go to getinvolved.tamu.edu. 
  2. Search “Club Crawl” using the search bar at the right-hand top of the page. 
  3. Click the first result titled “Club Crawl”.
  4. If needed, login to “Get Involved” with your NetID and password.  Once logged in, select the star next to the organizations that you are interested in visiting. 
  5. Click “View My Interests” to see your list of organizations arranged by table number.
