TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY BRANDING
The Division of Student Affairs follows the Texas A&M University brand guide. Please refer to these guidelines when creating marketing materials.
FONTS
If you do not have access to the Aggie Brand Fonts, you may request a download of the font files.
Minion Pro and Open Sans are free. Moriston and Tungsten require a paid license, so we recommend that only marketing and communication / design staff use them. Arial and Georgia are also completely acceptable font options if you don’t have the brand fonts. Crimson Text is a free Google font that is similar to Minion Pro.
If you have any questions about the Aggie Brand fonts and their use, please contact the Division of Student Affairs Marketing & Communication Office.
COLORS
To maintain brand consistency, it is important to use the correct colors when creating marketing materials. You may download the following ASE color swatch files for use in Adobe design applications such as InDesign, Illustrator, etc.:
Use when creating:
- Brochures
- Flyers
- Invitations/postcards
- Posters
- Any printed material
Use when creating:
- Websites
- Digital signs
- Social media content
- Presentations
- Email graphics
You can change your color values in most programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint by selecting the arrow next to the color option in your toolbar. Select “More Colors” and a box will pop up in which you can change your color values to either CMYK or RGB.
Most programs default to RGB color values. You can change the default to CMYK by selecting the drop-down arrow next to “RGB Sliders” at the top and selecting “CMYK Sliders.” Then you may enter the color value you’d like to use and select “OK” to confirm your selection.
Depending on what you are creating, it is important to use the correct CMYK or RGB color values for Aggie Maroon. Printing RGB Aggie Maroon will create a dark, almost brown color. If you are struggling with color matching, contact the Division of Student Affairs Marketing & Communications Office for assistance.
