
Justin Jeffery provides administrative supervision for the Becky Gates Children’s Center, Department of Information Technology, Department of Music Activities, and the Department of Student Affairs, Planning, Assessment & Research. Dr. Jeffery has over 12 years of experience in higher education and student affairs – both within international and American contexts. Additionally, his career has included work at small private colleges and large public universities and spanned multiple functional areas including housing/residence life, campus activities, spirit and tradition programming, student organization advising and development, student leadership development, and community service programming. Prior to his current role at Texas A&M, Dr. Jeffery served as Director of International Student Life at the University of Georgia from 2014-2021, where he led efforts to internationalize the campus experience through opportunities that allowed for students, staff, and faculty to develop intercultural competencies, while also providing orientation and programming and services that supported nearly 3,000 international students.
Dr. Jeffery is actively involved with NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) where he currently serves on the Region III Executive Board as the communications chair and IT coordinator. He earned his B.A. in Political Science and Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University and his Ph.D. at UGA’s Institute of Higher Education.
