Welcome to Fall 2024!

Student Affairs welcomes back students back to campus for the fall 2024 semester.

The Division of Student Affairs spent the beginning of the fall semester welcoming current and new Aggies to campus through a variety of events and programs hosted by our departments

  • New Student Conferences saw a total of 14,035 students and 18,160 guests over 23 conferences that ran May through August of 2023.
  •  Fish Camp hosted 5,000 incoming freshman at 8 camps over 3 weeks from July to August 2024.
  •  T-Camp hosted 129 transfer students.
  • Venture Camps had 21 students participate in unique extended orientation experiences.
  • Traditions Night welcomed 204 new student athletes to campus.
  •  Residence Life moved 11,217 Aggies on campus over the course of 4 days.
  •  New Student & Family Programs put together a robust Howdy Week program. Some highlights include:
    • 1,800 attended Ice Cream Carnival.
    • 10,000+ attended the Class of '28 photo in Kyle Field.
    • Approximately 5,000 stopped by to take a first day of class photo on the first two days of classes.
    • The first Off Campus Student Carnival saw over 2,000 attendees.
    • Student Activities hosted Treats and Greats (formerly Block Party) and saw approximately 4,000 attendees.
  • Rec Sports hosted Rec-A-Palooza and saw 4,166 attendees and 1,448 Rec Sports app downloads.
  • Fraternity and Sorority Life began their recruitment where Collegiate Panhellenic Council had 1,492 women go through the recruitment process and Interfraternity Council had 693 men go through the recruitment process.
  • MSC Open House had over 457 student organizations participate in the event this year. Tables expanded through the MSC, Rudder Exhibit Hall, Rudder Plaza, Simpson Drill Field and into Kyle Field Plaza.
