MIDNIGHT YELL PRACTICE
GOAL: $1.5 MILLION
The night before every home game, Aggies hold Midnight Yell at Kyle Field. It is regularly attended by more than 25,000 people. Yell Leaders also host Midnight Yell for every away game, usually at a location in or near the city where Texas A&M will play its opponent.
Midnight Yell begins when the Yell Leaders lead the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and current and former students into Kyle Field. Once there, they lead the crowd in yells dating back to the earliest days of Texas A&M. The crowd sings The Aggie War Hymn and listens to fables from the Yell Leaders, telling how the Aggies are going to beat their opponent on the field the next day.
While the Department of Athletics provides use of Kyle Field at no charge, the cost of carrying out this cherished tradition for all home and away football games is not free. Your gifts to the Midnight Yell Practice Endowed Fund will help defray the following costs:
- Security provided by the University Police Department and private security companies
- Event staff
- Event supplies
- Advertising inside Kyle Field, including use of digital video screens and ribbon boards
- Special guests and presentations for key events
- Travel expenses for out-of-town games

“Midnight Yell is one of the all-time great traditions in college football. It is so amazing that even fans of Texas A&M opponents attend by the thousands. It is a testimony to Aggie fans’ loyalty to their school and its fightin’ Aggie team!”
