Dr. Justin Jeffery provides administrative supervision for five areas: the Texas A&M Career Center, Student Affairs Planning, Assessment & Research, Student Affairs Strategic Collaborations, Student Community Standards, and Student Life. In addition to his areas of supervision, he serves as the chair/convener of the Special Situations Team and has oversight of the Student Behavioral Issues Committee. Dr. Jeffery also oversees the Division's strategic planning efforts, annual reporting processes, committee management, and coordinates collaboration and initiatives with Academic Affairs and University Health Services.
Dr. Jeffery has over 15 years of experience in higher education and student affairs – both within international and American contexts. His career has included work at small private colleges and large public and land-grant universities and spanned multiple functional areas including housing/residence life, campus activities, spirit and tradition programming, student organization advising and development, student leadership development, and community service programming. Prior to his current role at Texas A&M, Dr. Jeffery served as Director of International Student Life at the University of Georgia from 2014-2021.
Dr. Jeffery is actively involved with NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) where he currently serves on the Region III Board as a NASPA Foundation Ambassador, and a member of ATAP (Association of Threat Assessment Professionals). He earned his B.A. in Political Science and Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University and his Ph.D. at UGA’s McBee Institute of Higher Education.
