Jennifer C. Boyle ‘97 was named the fourth director of Memorial Student Center (MSC) Programs, a department within the Texas A&M Division of Student Affairs.
MSC Programs empowers students to produce campus programs and provides outstanding service to the Bryan-College Station community through educational lectures, service events and exciting entertainment opportunities.
After a recent search, Boyle was promoted from her position of Interim Director, a post she has held since August 2023. She will lead the department which assists 19 student-led programming organizations and 11 departmental programs. Examples of MSC Committees include MSC Hospitality, MSC OPAS Student Committee, MSC Town Hall, and the MSC Wiley Lecture Series.
“I am honored to be selected for this position and to have this opportunity to guide a talented staff which engages all students and helps equip them to be leaders,” Boyle said. “The chance to positively impact the campus experience for students and the community at large is a mission I look forward to.”
Formally dedicated in 1951, the Memorial Student Center stands as a tribute to Aggies who gave their lives for our country. MSC Programs currently involves approximately 1,000 students in various leadership roles and committee positions. The previous three MSC directors include J. Wayne Stark (1947-1980), Jim Reynolds (1980-2006), and Luke Altendorf (2006-2023).
“The MSC Programs Office epitomizes the Aggie spirit,” said Texas A&M Vice President of Student Affairs BG Joe E. Ramirez ‘79, USA (Ret.). “Jennifer is a highly experienced leader who will ensure our valued traditions are held sacred while also exploring ways to elevate MSC programming to benefit more students, faculty, staff and community members.”
Prior to being named interim director in August 2023, Boyle served 23 years in various roles within the Texas A&M Division of Student Affairs. Since 2005, Boyle has served in several positions within the Department of Student Activities, most recently as the senior associate director from January 2022 to August 2023.
She started her career in Texas A&M Student Affairs in 2000 as a Student Development Specialist in MSC Programs.
A native of Monroe, La., Boyle earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas A&M in 1998 and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Ball State University in 1999.
