Aggie Bucket List
Things to experience on campus before you graduate.
Olivia Garza '23, Texas A&M University Division of Student Affairs
Attend Midnight Yell
One of Texas A&M’s most iconic traditions, Midnight Yell is a must-do before graduation. Held at midnight in Kyle Field before home football games, Midnight Yell Practice serves to get the 12th Man pumped up for Saturday’s football game.
Join a student organization
Joining a student organization is a great way to enhance your student experience. Through student organizations, there are opportunities to make friends, learn leadership skills and make plenty of memories.
Watch Corps step off
Prior to every home football game, the Corps of Cadets steps off the quad to march through campus. The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Parsons Mounted Calvary and Reveille are all notable participants in march-in.
Attend Bonfire Remembrance Ceremony
Bonfire Remembrance takes place every Nov. 18 at 2:42 a.m. to remember and honor the 12 lives that were lost in the 1999 collapse. The event is hosted by Traditions Council.
Bonfire remembrance honors those effected by the tragedy and embodies many aspects of the Aggie Spirit. The memorial and the ceremony are symbolic of the deep sense of belonging, teamwork and tradition that unites all Aggies.
Study in the Flag Room
As the “living room of campus,” the Flag Room in the Memorial Student Center is an iconic spot to study on campus.
The room is often filled with the sound of piano music from the space’s grand piano that is open for anyone enjoying the room to play.
Attend Campus Muster
Over a century old, Aggie Muster is one of the most time-honored Texas A&M Traditions. Muster honors Aggies who have passed and celebrates the camaraderie of the Aggie Spirit.
Held every April 21 in Reed Arena, Campus Muster hosts the honored families and the 50th class reunion.
Volunteer in The Big Event
The Big Event is the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation. Held each spring, the event brings tens of thousands of Aggies together to say “thank you” to the local community through service.
Go to Elephant Walk
Held before the last home football game of the season, Elephant Walk symbolizes the end of the usefulness of the Aggies seniors to the student body. During the walk, seniors join hands and take one last walk through campus together, stopping at campus landmarks to hear from speakers.
Take a Picture with Reveille
Getting a picture taken with Reveille is every Aggie’s dream. If you see her out on campus, make sure to be respectful of both Miss Rev and her handler when asking for pictures.
