Tent Policy for Ticket Pull
By Chuck Glenewinkel ‘97, Texas A&M Division of Student Affairs
A new policy will ensure Texas A&M students will continue to safely “camp out” in line for ticket pull for the 2024 football season.
“We are excited that we are able to continue the tradition of ticket pull, while also ensuring the safety of our students,” said Texas A&M Vice President of Student Affairs BG Joe E. Ramirez ‘79, USA (Ret.). “Excitement for Texas A&M football is at an all-time high and we expect an increase in those wanting tickets to the games this year. Following this policy will make sure our students can continue to camp out for tickets while also complying with fire code and other university rules.”
Beginning with the second home game of the season against McNeese State, ticket pull lines can begin to form at 6 a.m. on the Sunday prior to the ticket pull for that week. Additionally, due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, ticket pull for the Texas game will be a week early.
Tents up to 10 feet by 10 feet may be set up in the Kyle Field Plaza for the ticket line and all tents must be removed immediately after the owner pulls tickets. Tents may not be tethered to trees, lampposts, handrails, or other structures, and all materials must be store bought and flame retardant.
Collapsible, portable chairs, stools and tables may be brought to ticket pull, but furniture, open flames, cooking devices, hot tubs or personal swimming or wading pools are not allowed. Alcohol is prohibited.
Additionally, electric power generators are not permitted, and power cords will not be allowed into Kyle Field, including the 12th Man Foundation offices. Limited power outlets are available in Kyle Field Plaza.
To comply with fire code, ticket pull tent lines will only be allowed outside of the fire lanes and boundaries around Kyle Field, and no items may block entrances and exits to the stadium.
Portable toilets will be available for student use and additional trash cans will be placed on site while students are present for ticket pull.
Each week, two recognized student organizations will be charged with leading the ticket pull process and “line checks” will be routinely performed to ensure individuals have not left the area.
