WELLBEING & SAFETY

The division is committed to promoting and supporting holistic areas of wellbeing including physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual health. For you to achieve academic success, you need a positive, constructive, and secure environment. Through our programs and services, the division creates a climate for you to make good decisions that contribute to your success.

Living On Campus

For the Department of Residence Life, academics are a priority, and it is important to us that we provide you with the tools for success. You'll find a variety of academic initiatives in your on-campus residence, which may include classes right where you live, tutoring, technology, study rooms, resource libraries, and workshops.

Off-Campus Housing Options

There are over 40,000 students who live off-campus at Texas A&M University. As you may have noticed, there is a lot of construction in Bryan/College Station, much of which is new development for off-campus housing. With the growth in the student population, many management companies are choosing to build in the area, so there are a variety of housing options if you choose to live off-campus.

Health Promotion

Health Promotion empowers all Aggies to embrace a culture of holistic well-being that fosters their academic, personal, and professional success. Our services encompass a wide variety of topics, including interpersonal violence prevention, alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, fitness and nutrition, sleep and stress and time management.

Sexual Assault Resources

Title IX of the Education Amendment of 1972 prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs and activities at federally funded institutions. Title IX protects students, faculty, staff, and visitors to our campus from all forms of sex discrimination.

Physical Fitness & Health

Rec Sports strives to be the nation's leader in collegiate recreation, inspiring the lifelong pursuit of health and wellness. Their mission is to promote activity, wellness, and development by providing high quality, inclusive experiences and facilities for the students and community of Texas A&M University.

Nutrition Services

The SHS Registered Dietitian (RD) is able to provide students with a personalized approach to all their nutrition needs. Additional services include Healthy Ag Pack, Bod Pod, and Guided Grocery Store Tours/Cooking Classes.
