Mission Statement
The mission of the Women's Resource Center at Texas A&M University is to pursue
equity and enhance the campus climate for women through visibility, advocacy,
support, and programming. The Center advocates by educating campus and
community constituencies on women’s issues
and functions as a resource and referral center. The Center strives to
ensure a community in which women and men can live and work together in
a mutually respectful, safe, and supportive environment where equality,
responsibility, and personal empowerment are encouraged and fostered.
The Center further serves as a symbol for the university’s commitment to
inclusion and equal access for women faculty, staff, and
students, and thus celebrates the achievements of women
while calling to attention and challenging the barriers that inhibit the
full inclusion of women in the A&M community and beyond.
