The Women's Resource Center houses an extensive (over 1400 holdings) collection of books (including the Women's Studies Program's collection of scholarly resources in Women's Studies), magazines, videos, and brochures, as well as a Periodical Archive. The collection includes fiction and non-fiction books, journals, resource manuals, and magazines dealing with issues of gender, women, sexual violence, and sexual orientation, including women's studies, feminist theory, health/reproductive rights, domestic violence, race and ethnicity, sexuality, technology and other topics. Free informational brochures are available on numerous topics. Most books can be checked out for a period of three weeks. Journals, Women in the Curriculum resources, videos and some books do not circulate, but can be used only in the Women's Resource Center. Faculty interested in updating courses to include more women, please also see our page on Women in the Curriculum, which lists resources available for consultation in the Library from the National Center for Curriculum Transformation Resources on Women at Towson State University in Baltimore, MD.
