The Staff Development Team sponsors an orientation for staff new to the Division. The program provides an overview of the Division departments, the history and traditions at Texas A&M, and the physical location of some of the departments.
PURPOSE: To assist new staff members in their transition into the Division of Student Affairs, so that they may be comfortable, productive, and effective in their new roles.
OBJECTIVES: To orient new staff members to the philosophy, mission, and structure of the Division.
To introduce new staff members to the leadership of the Division.
To provide new staff members with an opportunity to meet other Division staff members and network with other peers in the Division.
To provide new staff members orientation to the physical environment of the University, including tours of areas involving student services functions.
To provide new staff members with an awareness of the history and traditions of Texas A&M University.
To introduce new staff members to the programs and services offered by the various departments that make up the Division.
To help staff understand the importance of their role in the Division's success
